We at the Alaska Backpackers Inn love to meet new people from all over the world. We like to hear their Alaskan adventures once they have completed their travels around our beautiful state. And more important, we like our guest to have a good time and enjoy their stay at our Hostel. We love Alaska and love what Alaska has to offer: Hiking, ATVing, fishing, hunting, camping, among other. That is why we love exchanging experiences with guest and hear what they go through in their Alaskan Journey.
We offer reasonable prices with good facilities for those who travel on a budget. We are able to provide less expensive prices than hotels because we are not full service, like every other hotel. However, we do try to offer the best service we can with what we have, which is a nice, clean, and fun place to sleep.
Every year we thrive to give the best hostel experience we can to backpackers. After every summer we always learn something new, and every year we are always improving our facilities and adding new services to better serve our guests.

Alaska Backpacker’s Inn is Anchorage's newest backpacker’s hostel. It was built with backpackers and travelers needs in mind.
We are located in downtown Anchorage only a few minutes walk from all that downtown Anchorage has to offer. We are right around the corner from the train station and Bus station.
The hostel contains 93 beds broken in small dorms (No more than 4 beds per dorm) and private rooms. Private rooms included cable TV and Micro fridges. We have 12 bathrooms throughout the building.
Other facilities include cable TV in a large common area which also has a Foosball table and vending machines, reading room, laundry facilities, kitchen, lots of clean spacious bathrooms and much more.
Our lobby offers Desktops with internet for free for our guests to use and we also offer free wireless for those who travel with their own laptops.
